Life is a Jigsaw Puzzle

As long as I can remember my Mom has had a saying hanging in her kitchen: “Life is a Jigsaw Puzzle…with most of the pieces missing” I have never really liked that saying much. For the last three weeks I have sat in the Cancer Treatment Center working on a puzzle…..literally and I am so convinced that there are many pieces missing. Interesting. There is a lesson here somewhere. Wonder what it is.

Apartment Living

How do they do it? It’s late and so many people moving around. Slamming doors, water running, bang, bang, bang. How do people live in apartments? I guess you get used to the noise. Very little sleep was to be had last night. Hope I will get used to it.

My New Year’s Resolution

For at least twenty years I have had the same New Year’s Resolution. I can finally say I have kept it!!! I’m super excited about finally getting it done all in one year. My longstanding resolution has been to read through the Bible in one year! Well, I did not read through it, but last year (Christmas 2008) the kids gave me an i-pod. I found The Daily Audio Bible and listened to it almost every day. I got a little sidetracked in the fall, but finished it on January 23, 2010!! …..twenty years…finally I get it done!! Persistence finally pays off 
